Position Summary: This position will coordinate Bingwi Neyaashi Anishinaabek's (BNA)'s Comprehensive Community Plan (CCP), including hosting engagement sessions, organizing data, and coordinating the CCP project with support from the Community and Band Staff.

The position will be responsible for overseeing the planning and overall coordination, marketing and provision of ongoing communication with Chief and Council, Administration, and Community members including youth, elders, and all family groups. Must be energetic and personable with a strong knowledge of BNA's territory, culture and history and is passionate about bringing the voice of BNA's community forward to create a great vision for our people.

Duties:
- Have creative energy and approach to facilitating a Comprehensive Community Plan
- Coordinate and facilitating the CCP process with Community engagement
- Explore the community's priorities and opportunities
- Develop Engagement and Communications Strategy
- Work with Chief and Council, and Staff, to design and implement the CCP process
- Review BNA's background information and previous planning
- Coordinate and host the following initiatives: information sessions, community meetings, focus group sessions (youth, elders), and/or creation of community needs survey
- Review information from meetings and create drafts of the CCP to publish
- Writing, researching, analyzing, communications with staff, Chief & Council and funders
- Report back to Chief and Council, staff and to the community
- Identify any additional information needed to complete CCP document
Qualifications:
- Must have knowledge in the Ojibwe language and awareness of BNA Anishinawbe culture and history
- Minimum of 2-5 years' work experience or related field; or combination of education (post-secondary) and relevant work experience
- Experienced in planning and implementing programs and presentations
- Experience hosting community events or meetings is preferred
- Must have networking and communication (verbal and written) skills;
- Effective organizational management and time management skills
- Flexible work Schedule
- Mandatory to have a valid driver's license and clear Driver's Abstract and able to travel when required
- Mandatory to possess current Criminal Reference Check (CPIC)

Additional Tasks:
- Research and gather information for compilation into BNA's CCP
- Keep Chief and Council updated on the CCP process
- Work at community events and have strong understanding of community situations
- Build on understanding of the current situation in the community by talking to as many community members as possible at meetings, host workshops, and collaborate with all BNA departments
- Examine BNA's vision and community engagement strategies already in place
- Empower the community ideas around reserve infrastructure and community growth
- Computer and social media literate (in all MS Office applications - statistical and narrative reporting)
- Work Independently and also a willingness to learn from a team
