Biigtigong Dbenjan is currently looking to hire a full time Finance Clerk Reports to CFO Biigtigong Dbenjgan

Summary of Duties: The finance clerk will be responsible for managing Biigtigong Dbenjgan's accounts payable; accurately completing payroll with all requisite deductions and maintaining proper financial documentation though an organized system of filing. Other responsibilities will include submitting monthly to accounting, making accurate monthly remittances, recording deposits to the General Ledger as well ass processing payable cheques, providing assistance with annual audit working papers , ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, updating the internal data base and completing administrative duties related to the Finance Department

 -organize filing of all proper documents
-prepare monthly submissions for accounting and monthly remittances
-prepare general ledger and journal entries and trial balance
-manage accounts receivable and payable
- open and close books for auditors
-prepare financial statements and bank reconciliations
-conduct banking and prepare payroll
-invoice clients and answer inquiries
-assess fixed assets and depriciation
-cost and budgeting -prepare income tax
-store, update and retrieve financial data
-manage inventory control -process claims and vouchers for payment, enter invoices with purchase orders, and check all claims for accuracy
-verify account codes and signatures for proper assignment of budgetary expenditures
-act as first line contact with vendors regarding billing problems
-perform bi weekly payroll processing , reporting and quality assurance functions
-perform clerical duties such as maintaining filing and record systems
-perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:
-college diploma in business administration, finance, accounting or related field
-2 to 3 years in fiance industry
-experience with budget, accounting and reporting systems
-strong working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
-advanced proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheet programs and applications is an asset
-effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
-able to build and maintain lasting relationships with other departments, key business partners, and government agencies
-high level of proficiency with Microsoft Office productivity suite
-knowledge and experience with office equipment such as photocopiers, telephone systems , email and fax machines
