 The Community Consultant provides a community-based approach to service delivery. This is characterized by consumer/survivor-driven service practices in which individuals and or families needs and desires determine all aspects of service delivery and resource provision. The consultants are seen as the agents and instruments of individuals and/or families, and intervene in ways that maximally promote individual and/or family decision-making, capabilities, and competencies. By virtue of the nature of our work and the people we serve, any statement or behaviour that is reasonably interpreted as a threat and/or attempt and/or use of physical force against a worker in a workplace, which causes or could cause physical injury to the worker or directly endanger the life, health or safety of another person, is an inherent part of the CSWs job. The Community Consultant must possess case management skills, including the ability to work effectively with individuals, families, staff teams, and the community.
 Consideration will be given to the following criterion,A four year degree in one of the following disciplines: Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Social Sciences or the Humanities, Occupational Therapy, or a related field;  A minimum of one years experience in a similar or related multidisciplinary field;  Demonstrated experience in research, creative problem-solving, presentation skills, and case management;  Excellent communication skills, including an aptitude for written and oral components;  Able to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team; Relative work and/or life experience;  A valid Drivers Licence and access to a vehicle.
