Reporting to the Human Resources Supervisor, the Human Resources Clerk-Receptionist is an entry-level position filled by an individual who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, has good working knowledge of computers, is able to maintain strict confidentiality and has excellent computer skills.

 Duties include, but are not limited to: 
Greet visitors, answer and/or refer inquiries to the appropriate person. 
Prepare and coordinate couriers for pick-up and comat deliveries. 
Maintain and order office supplies for Human Resources unit. 
Photocopying and faxing of documents in the Human Resources unit. 
Email appropriate documents to required supervisors and management. 
Handle all incoming mail and resumes, and use procedure for recordings in computer system. 
Laserfiche duties including scanning and electronically filing documents.
Booking and maintaining the schedule for boardrooms.
Maintain a neat and clean environment in the reception area. 
Answer phones and direct calls to appropriate person. Take messages as required. 
Utilize intercom system to make announcements and page staff when needed. 
Maintains internal phone directory 
Provide coverage when needed to answer main phones and direct calls.
Other related duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
 Qualifications Desired: 
Ability to speak one of the Nishnawbe-Aski language dialects is an asset. 
Possess excellent customer service and communication skills. 
Experience in reception and customer service is an asset. 
Ability to ensure accuracy and maintain strict confidentiality.
Be aware of the cultural environment in which Tikinagan Child and Family Services operates. 
Good working knowledge and experience in time management and organizational skills. 
A valid Ontario Drivers Licence is an asset.
Must be able to pass a Criminal Records Check. 
Must be willing and able to travel.
Appropriate educational qualifications and/or equivalent combination of experience and training to manage the tasks and responsibilities of the position is preferred.
 Because of the nature of our services, Tikinagan has to make sure that the children and families we serve are safe and that the staff we hire dont pose any risks to clients. One of the measures we take is ensuring new staff provide a criminal background check. All successful applicants will require an application for, or a current, Criminal Record Check (CRC).
