Duties:
 Under supervision of the Human Resources Supervisor, the Human Resources Generalist-Recruiter performs a variety of duties to assist in the day to day operations of the unit, with a focus on all recruitment and retention responsibilities and initiatives. The HR Generalist-Recruiter is comfortable and experienced in working with the Leadership and resources of the communities within our catchment area; is able to maintain strict confidentiality within the unit; is conscientious, willing to learn, positive, professional, and a team player. Exceptional communication and recruitment skills are a must.
Qualifications:
 Ability to speak one of the Nishnawbe-Aski dialects (Ojibway, Cree, and/or Oji-Cree) is a requirement;  Must have experience and understanding of Indigenous issues, and of the geographic realities and social conditions within northern remote Indigenous communities; Previous experience working with Chiefs and Council members and various resources of the Northern communities within our catchment area; Knowledge of and commitment to the services provided by Tikinagan Child and Family Services is required; Must be willing and able to travel to northern communities on a regular basis to recruit as well as conduct interviews and orientations;  Post-Secondary education in Human Resources and/or previous recruitment related experience is an asset;  Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, along with prior experience communicating effectively to diverse groups;  Knowledge/experience with Excel, Word, Email and other computer applications;  A valid Ontario DriverLicence would be an asset;  Must be able to pass a Criminal Records Check and oral drug test prior to employment.
