Resource and Information Services (RI) is a community information resource centre where anyone seeking employment and/or training can access this walk-in community resource. Individuals looking for work can learn more about:

• Jobs / Careers
• The local labour market
• Training opportunities, including apprenticeship and second career information
• Job search strategies
• Summer Jobs Program for students

RI provides FREE access to:

• Computers, to create, update or make changes to resumes, cover letters, or any other JOB RELATED documents
• All computers have word processing and Internet access
• Job related documents can be faxed to both local and long distance numbers
• Photocopier and telephone available for job search
• Information on community resources
• Workshops and Apprenticeship Information (see monthly calendar for events)
• Assistance from Employment Advisors

This is primarily a drop-in, self-directed service; however our friendly, helpful staff will be very happy to assist you.

• Receive one-to-one Employment Counselling through our Employment Planning and Preparation component
• Assistance with your resume, job search, interviews, and career planning
• You may also be eligible for paid, on-the-job training with an employer through our Job Matching, Placement & Incentives service

• Referrals for assessments; TOWES, Choose Your Groove, and Academic Upgrading (fee may apply)
• One Stop Shop for information on community programs and services
