 If this sounds like you, here is what you can expect to be doing as an Engineering Technologist at Induspec:
*Use computer-assisted engineering and design software to model, perform analysis and prepare drawings;
*Use various codes, standards and regulations to develop appropriate design considerations and associated documents;
*Liaise with clients, contractors, suppliers and representatives of various agencies;
*With support and input from your mentors, run your own projects from the problem identification phase right through project completion including the preparation of engineering design documents, drawings, and tender documents.
*Perform field investigations, and prepare written technical reports, specifications, and other technical documents;
*Foster client relationships to ensure that client needs are met and expectations are exceeded;
*Support the preparation of schedules, estimates and proposals;
*Work with professional engineers of various disciplines in the practical aspects of the engineering profession
To be successful in this position, you also possess the following attributes and qualifications:
*you have earned an engineering technologist advanced diploma from a Canadian accredited college with a focus in civil or mechanical engineering;
*you graduated within the last three years;
*this position would be your first full time employment in your field of study;
*you have strong verbal and written communication skills;
*you have a working knowledge of SOLIDWORKS;
*you are eligible to be registered as an associate member with OACETT;
*you possess a valid driver's license and can be insured.
