The Opportunity: Barminco Canada Mining Services Ltd is currently has an exciting opportunity for a suitably experienced Mining Engineer to join our Operations Team at Williams Mine, Hemlo Operations, working an ongoing 7 days on / 7 days off drive in/drive out roster living locally. Reporting to the Site Project Manager you will be responsible for Project Managers and Mine Foreman with the technical mining plans on site, interpret and analyse mining physicals and site costs, and to integrate with the client technical services department.  Key Responsibilities:
-Oversee Drill & Blast planning and execution
-Short term Planning
-Development design
-Optimise Production and Development processes to continuously meet and exceed contractual metric requirements
-Oversee site contract, monthly revenue claims, variations and management plans
-Provide leadership and consultative advice to Engineering team on site
-Use analysis and implementation of cost reduction initiatives
-Closely Monitor Production and report monthly on performance, compliance and optimisation
-Management of Quality Assurance Programs
-Comply with all HS&E Policies, Procedures and Instructions along with relevant Mines Safety and Inspection Regulations.
-Budget Preparation and reporting

Skills, Experience & Attributes:
-Hold a Mine Engineering Degree
-Have completed your time underground
-Have a natural ability to lead by example, as well as motivate and engage those around you
-Possess strong computer and software skills (Deswik, Vulcan, Surpac etc.
-Be proactive, solutions orientated and results driven
-Have excellent communication skills, and the ability to liaise with and influence key stakeholders
-Be commercially savvy with a strong business acumen
