The Patrol Supervisor will work with the day to day field maintenance operations on all highway infrastructures within the Area Maintenance Contract. The Patrol Supervisor will also assist in the patrol for deficiencies throughout the Area Maintenance Contract.

Perform designated maintenance duties on all highway infrastructures as outlined in the new Area Maintenance Contract Performance Measures
Assist in the Investigation and respond to inquiries from the general public, external agencies, and work with the Superintendent to resolve problems Assist with the identification of potential work order opportunities, and deficiencies within the AMC, reporting them to their Supervisor
Execute the work through the application of recognized human resources policies, practices and administrative and safety procedures, and other related corporate guidelines
Review completed work; ensure appropriate documentation is completed
Maintain and conduct quality and environmental control measures
Facilitate a safe and healthy work environment
To maintain/clean equipment as required and conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs as required
Solid understanding of profit and loss costing for maintenance activities with the ability to routinely review maintenance activities to ensure delivery of the required standards is completed in the most cost effective manner
When required, participate in the winter works operations by filling in for Emergency Response during storm situations or by operating combination units and other snow removal equipment
Maintain accurate, legible and neat documentation including driver log books for any CVOR vehicles, as well as any other equipment inspection paperwork, on a daily basis
Maintain accurate, legible and neat records such as patrol diaries, as required by this position
Participates in the preparation and review of Performance Planning and Review documents for themselves with their supervisor
As required, responds to emergency situations such as spills, accidents, incidents, inclement weather or implementations of the emergency plan
Follow the weekly on call rotation for emergency situations and calls
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Patrol/operate combination plow units and/or other snow removal equipment during the winter season as per the 24 hour patrol shift schedule
Work overtime in the event situations demand

DZ license •Knowledge of OTM Book 7 traffic control
Ability to work shift work on a regular basis
Experience in highway maintenance and emergency response is an asset
