The Red Rock Indian Band is seeking an enthusiastic and ambitious individual to work under the direction of Chief and Council to oversee and assist with the development of the Chalet Lodge Property.  Working under the supervision of the Economic Development Officer and the Economic Development Team, will gain project management experience, as well as working with Industry leaders and partners in a leadership role.
The key duties they will perform include, but not limited to:
- Manage Chalet Lodge soft launch initiative
- Marketing plan and website re-developed for opening season
- Develop list of "things to do and see" to be prepared for visitor requests/questions
- Oversee training and capacity building
- Oversee activities to move from "Doors Open" to "Visitor Ready" according to ITAC's National Guidelines
- Manage accommodations and meeting facilities booking system
- Assist with site plan development for property
- Develop visitor satisfaction survey for guests
- Develop a guest information book to be included in each cabin. Include methods of sharing the Lodge history and story through photographs, etc. in the booklet but also throughout the Lodge and cabins where appropriate
- Determine monitoring processes and ensure that progress is being completed by staff
- University or college graduate who has graduated within the last three years from an accredited college or university in any of the following related fields: Business, Business Administration, Business Management, Marketing, Project Management, Accounting, Human Resources, etc.
- The candidate must be a graduate of a post-secondary degree or diploma program
- The position will be a first full-time employment in the candidate's field of study
- Previous experience and/or knowledge in tourism and/or economic development considered an asset
- Strong project management/public relation skills considered an asset
- Knowledge of hospitality industry and human resources
- Strong computer skills
- Possess valid G drivers license and personal vehicle considered an asset
- Exceptional multi-tasking abilities and prioritization skills
 The Red Rock Indian Band's vision for the Chalet Lodge is to become a venue to promote our Anishinaabe culture, history and life ways through economic growth, education, and training opportunities. The Lodge is a seasonal conference and accommodations venue to host weddings, workshops, conferences, etc. The objective of the Soft Launch is to host guests and events in a very targeted way, to critically assess the strengths, opportunities, and challenges of running the Lodge, to resolve any issues before opening to the wider public. During the Soft Launch season, we will begin the process of developing tourism experiences and products that can be associated with the Chalet Lodge.
