Assists and provides instruction to all guests in the safe loading and unloading of our ski lifts, while providing excellent customer service by interacting with all guests.Day shift positions available during our Ski School Program, weekends and holidays. Preparing the ski lift for guests. This may include the cleaning of equipment, setting out of cones or signs, and ensuring that everything is set-up for the guests to hit the slopes.
Running the lift, ensuring that everyone is taking safety measures. They will operate the lift in an efficient and safe manner and ensure that the area is free of any potential hazards.
Provide a range of customer service duties. They may assist customers in getting on the lift, help them with their equipment, checking lift tickets or simply answering questions.
Keep logs and maintain some paperwork for quality assurance.
As part of running the ski lift, the operator may have a routine that they have to do periodically or at specific times in order to check for hazards and help assure safety for guests.
Customer Service Expectations: Lift Attendants have more direct customer contact than any other employee, as nearly every skiing or snowboarding guest rides the lifts. It is therefore of utmost importance that the Ski Lift Operator be friendly, courteous and professional in accordance with the Dryden Ski Clubs commitment to providing superior customer service.
NOTE: All Dryden Ski Club employees are required to perform alternate functions from time to time, both within and outside of their assigned department, particularly during peak periods such as holiday weekends.
Previous customer service and/or laboring experience is preferred
Intermediate level skiing or snowboarding ability is preferred but NOT necessary

Physical and Mental Demands: This position works primarily outside and requires prolonged periods of standing and walking on slippery and/or uneven snow or icy surfaces. Must always remain alert and attentive. Shoveling large volumes of snow and/or ice is required. Work Environment: This position involves working outside in all weather conditions, including cold, snow and wind, on varied snow surfaces, and requires being on your feet for most of the scheduled shift. Sometime will be spent inside, but inside time still requires alertness and attention to the lift and passengers. Varying traffic levels mean that some days are extremely busy while other days are much slower. Incentives: Employee lift & equipment pass. Transportation assistance program.
