- Provide service to members, analyzing needs and assisting members to utilize the products or services which best meet those needs;
- Provide assistance to members by answering questions, servicing member requests for deposits, withdrawals, and transfers;
- Process member request for account updates and closures;
- Cash/certify cheques, receive bill payments, order cheques, process member statements, personal money orders, and travel insurance;
- Resolve routine problems/issues with member accounts, referring more complex problems;
- Responsible for following policies and security procedures established by the credit union and working within authorized cash/cheque limits;
- Answer the phone, respond to general requests/transactions of members provide general information and direct other calls to the appropriate person, take concise messages when needed;
- Responsible for balancing own cash drawer on a daily basis;
- All positions will be cross trained in other areas of the credit union operations and may be required on occasion to perform work normally completed by another individual;
- All staff are expected to provide quality customer service, and the active promotion of credit union products and services which meet and enhance the members financial needs;
- Perform other duties as, and when, assigned.
Must be bondable and able to pass a police records check.
-  A standard office environment is provided however, due to the nature of the business, there is a risk of exposure to hold-ups and threats.
- Concentration is required when working with computer systems.
- Member demands are constant.
- Required to assist with branch housekeeping.
- In this position there are no guaranteed hours.
