Located on beautiful Sparrow Lake in the Muskoka region of Ontario, Camp Winston is a unique retreat for children with complex neurobiological disorders who need highly specialized support. At Camp Winston, children have the opportunity to escape their ordinary and often challenging daily lives, connect with others in a way they've never experienced, and build life-long skills with the help and support of the dedicated and passionate Camp Winston staff. You will join a group of 70 staff as we embark on a bright and diverse adventure to help 140 children. You'll be responsible for the total-care of 3-5 children at a time with staff teams of 5-6 members. We generally hire mature adults with a wide range of personal and professional passion. Kindness, humour, flexibility and initiative are core qualities of our counsellors.

Duties:

Qualifications:

1. First Aid CPR C from St. John's Ambulance or Canadian Red Cross

2. Vulnerable Persons Sector Police Check

3. Studying in a related field and work/personal experience with children with neurobiological disorders is an asset, but not required.

Additionally, NLS certifications are an asset. We pay for NLS training or re-certification if you are capable of becoming a lifeguard.

Misc.:

Room and board included, as well as CPI NVCI training.
