Functions
Mentorship Program:
- Investigate, develop and implement a mentorship program that will create meaningful and relevant opportunities for established business Mentors and perspective business Mentees to communicate their strengths and their weaknesses to the coordinator, who will then match a Mentor to a Mentee
- Mentoring sessions will take place over a 6-month period and will be scheduled once per month; responsibility for the schedule will be the Mentor who will also record and report data and results to the Coordinator
- Collect data and track the results of the program against measurable goal and milestones
- Coordinate and facilitate promotion of the program and all meetings and workshops
- Develop a Business Assessment process, application forms, agreements, tools and templates, and Terms of Reference for the program
- Prepare and present reports, presentations, planning updates
Incubation Program:
- Develop criteria for participation in the program
- Oversee the rental and supervision of the “for rent” incubator offices that will establish a revenue stream for the project
- Develop a lease template for the incubation spaces
- Investigate and develop or work with our partners on a variety of business workshops that would be relevant to small business, for example, but not limited to, business planning, financial literacy workshops, bookkeeping
- Research and develop remote incubation program to cover the entire catchment
Remote Access Program:
- Assist businesses in adopting and adapting remote technologies
- Create resources for businesses around remote access
- Plan promotional materials related to the program
- Qualifications:

Knowledge
- A relevant education and experience such as project management, team building, mentorship, is desired
- Principles and practices of research and data collection
- Effective writing techniques and proposal writing
- Computer hardware and software programs, which may include Microsoft Office, Internet applications, CRM
Skills
- Oral communication and interpersonal skills to explain rules and procedures to participants and SMEs
- Creative problem-solving skills
- Multitasking ability in order to work on several projects or issues with several individuals simultaneously
- Ability to remain detail oriented and organized, while keeping big-picture goals in mind
